Lines, Laxity & Structure
Wrinkles
Established, deeper folds that remain visible when the face is at rest.
01
What it is
Wrinkles are deeper, set creases — forehead lines, frown lines, nasolabial folds and marionette lines — that persist without movement.
They combine muscle activity, collagen loss and volume descent, so they usually need more than one modality to soften.
02
Why it happens
- Repeated muscular movement folding the same skin over decades.
- Significant loss of dermal collagen and elastin reducing the skin's ability to spring back.
- Fat pad descent and bone remodelling changing the underlying support.
03
The layer involved
Structure
Dermis, subcutaneous fat and the muscles beneath
Surface treatment alone softens a wrinkle; restoring dermal collagen and deeper structural support is what changes its depth.
04 · What may help
Treatments we may consider
Indicative only. Which of these belong in your plan — and in what order — is decided at your skin analysis, never from a page.
Tighten & Remodel
RF Microneedling
Radiofrequency energy delivered into the dermis for powerful tightening and scar remodelling.
Non-Surgical Lifting
Liftera HIFU
Defy gravity. Redefine your contours — with no surgery and no downtime.
Deep Skin Remodelling
Fractional Laser
Micro-beams of laser energy rebuild scarred, lax or damaged skin from the inside out.
Precision Ablative Resurfacing
2940 Er:YAG Laser
Erbium's ultra-precise wavelength resurfaces damaged skin with minimal residual heat.
05 · When we may need a medical assessment
Some things belong with a doctor first.
- Asymmetrical wrinkling or new asymmetry in facial movement, which requires medical review.
- Deep folds where a structural or injectable approach may be more appropriate — we will tell you honestly and refer.
This page is general education, not medical advice. If anything here sounds like your skin, we will tell you honestly at consultation whether we can help or whether you should see your GP or dermatologist first.

Shallow surface lines, most visible around the eyes, mouth and cheeks.
Crepey Skin
Finely wrinkled, thin, tissue-paper texture — commonly under the eyes, on the neck and décolletage.
Laxity
Loss of firmness and recoil — skin that feels loose and no longer holds its shape.
Jowls
Softening and descent along the lower face, breaking the clean line of the jaw.
Loss of Jawline Definition
A softened border between the face and neck — the contour blurs even without obvious sagging.
